ZO^® Medical 3-Step Peel

This treatment starts with an in-office chemical peel(step 1) that involves applying or brushing on a chemical solution to remove the outer layers of skin. It is then followed by application of Retinol Cream(step 2) that utilizes a combination of 6% retinol and high performing ingredients to maximize collagen stimulation, cellular renewal, as well as offering antioxidant benefits and DNA protection. Lastly, application of Calming Creme(step 3) to relieve skin irritation and redness while re-balancing vital moisture content and improving the skin’s barrier function.

Most patients experience a tingling sensation during the peel process, with some reporting mild to moderate pain during the procedure.

This procedure can be repeated in 3-4 weeks. For maintenance, 2-3 sessions in a year is recommended.

During the recovery period, you will experience skin redness followed by skin peeling beginning within two to three days from the procedure. This peeling will continue for approximately five to seven days.

Following any chemical peel, your skin may be slightly sensitive for 7-14 days therefore it is extremely important to protect your skin through the use of a non-chemical sun protection (SPF 30 or higher) at all times. You are also advised to use the Calming Cream that is included in this treatment. Nonetheless, duration and severity of down time differs from person to person.

However, when the healing process has completely finished, you will notice dramatic results to the tone, texture, and feel of your skin. Your complexion will become firmer, clearer, smoother, healthier, and more youthful looking. These results will only continue to improve over the next four to six weeks.
