ABOUT THE TREATMENT

EPILIA RF is a fast and stable treatment for permanent hair removal and skin tightening. It has two different types of energy sources that complement and interact with each other. Each energy is enabled to act for hair removal with relatively reduced energy level compared to act as a single energy. If you would like to experience hair removal treatments with the benefits of skin rejuvenation treatments, the Epilia RF is perfect.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

BEFORE THE TREATMENT

Laser treatment varies depending on the size and extent of the area being treated.

Laser hair removal effectively slows and reduces hair growth by 90% but doesn't guarantee permanent hair removal. It typically takes several laser hair removal treatments to provide an extended hair-free period. Periodic maintenance treatments might be needed as well.

When the pulse of light is delivered, some patients experience a mild tingling or stinging sensation. No local anesthesia or pain medication is typically required; however some patients may prefer to use a topical anesthetic when sensitive areas are treated.

Most areas require 3-6 treatments. However, the number of Epilia RF treatments required for optimal long-term benefits depends on multiple factors – hair thickness, the area treated and your hair's growth cycle.

Yes, by controlling dual energy, the Epilia RF is safe for all skin and hair types.

AFTER THE TREATMENT

Immediately following your treatment, the area may appear a bit red and swollen but you will be able to return to your normal activities immediately. After 3-7 days, you may experience what seems to be ‘regrowth’ of hair but most of these hairs are being shed as a result of your treatment and are not regrowing. Between treatments you should not wax or pluck your hair, but it is permissible to shave.

The most commonly noticed side effects are slight reddening and local swelling of the skin, similar to sunburn. These effects typically last for several hours or less. In extremely rare instances, blistering may occur.
